The Heavenly Heifers women’s group of Faith Baptist Church held their annual Bingo fundraiser on August 22, welcoming approximately 250 people for an evening of fun, fellowship, food and fundraising.

The event was made possible through the generosity of dozens of local businesses and individuals who donated prizes. The Heavenly Heifers sincerely appreciate each person and business who contributed to making the evening such a success.

A delicious meal was prepared and served by the church’s Shepherds of Faith men’s group. During the midway break, attendees had the opportunity to participate in a special live auction featuring more than 50 homemade desserts, Boston butts, locally made quilts and handcrafted carpentry items. A silent auction featuring a variety of nice items was also held throughout the evening.

The funds raised by the Heavenly Heifers allow the group to support numerous ministry and community projects throughout the year. These include providing care packages to the homeless twice a year, Christmas gifts for children, and assistance to church members who have been hospitalized or undergone recent surgery and are temporarily unable to work.

The group also provides back-to-school backpacks for children at the church and throughout the local community and hosts a spring community fun day.

The Heavenly Heifers are grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, attended and helped make this year’s Bingo fundraiser a success. Through the continued support of the church and community, the group is able to turn an evening of fun into opportunities to serve others throughout the year.
