July 18, 2026 was a day of faith in action as approximately a dozen men from Faith Baptist Church's Shepherds of Faith Men's Group came together to help an elderly couple in the Pilot Mountain community.
The couple's roof had deteriorated to the point that it was beginning to collapse, leaving their home vulnerable to the elements. Answering the call to serve, the men donated their time, labor, and materials to replace the failing roof with new tin roofing.
Working for several hours under the intense summer heat, the volunteers demonstrated Christ's love through hard work, compassion, and teamwork. Their willingness to sacrifice a Saturday to meet a practical need made a lasting impact on the homeowners and reflected the church's commitment to serving others.
Projects like this remind us that ministry extends beyond the walls of the church. By lending helping hands to neighbors in need, the Shepherds of Faith Men's Group continues to be a shining example of what it means to live out the words of Galatians 6:2: "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."
Faith Baptist Church is grateful for these men who faithfully use their talents and strength to bless others and be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.
